Conformance target

LumosTech B.V. aims for lumostech.nl to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, which is the level referenced by EN 301 549, the European harmonised accessibility standard.

The European Accessibility Act exempts microenterprises providing services, and on the published thresholds LumosTech currently falls within that exemption. We do not rely on it. A company that sells engineering judgement should not ship a website that excludes people, and the exemption depends on a company size we intend to outgrow.

What we have done

• Every page uses semantic HTML landmarks, a single level-one heading, and a heading order with no skipped levels.
• A skip-to-content link is the first element in the tab order on every page.
• Every interactive element is reachable and operable by keyboard, with a clearly visible focus indicator.
• Text contrast is at or above 4.5:1, and non-text indicators at or above 3:1, verified computationally in both the light and dark presentations.
• Interactive targets are at least 24 by 24 CSS pixels, meeting WCAG 2.2 success criterion 2.5.8.
• Form fields have permanently visible labels; nothing relies on placeholder text alone.
• Informative images carry descriptive alternative text; diagrams carry a text description of what they show. Decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology.
• The site follows your operating system’s light or dark preference and honours prefers-reduced-motion, which disables all non-essential movement.
• The site works fully with JavaScript disabled, reflows to a single column without horizontal scrolling down to 320 pixels, and remains usable at 200% text zoom.
• Content is written in plain English and left-aligned, with line lengths kept within a comfortable reading measure.

Known limitations

The diagrams on the home page and the telecom and IoT page convey their meaning through an accessible text description rather than through the graphic itself. We believe the descriptions are complete, and we would like to hear from you if one is not.

Products we have built for clients, which are linked from this site, are separate websites under separate control. This statement does not cover them.
